In 2005, Kelly was named a Top 20 Toyota Starmaker Finalist, and onstage she’s been the main attraction of both International and Australian crowds ever since. With powerful vocals and strong lyrics, Kelly’s originality and stage presence is like no other in the country music industry.
Late 2005, Kelly completed her first US tour including studio time with one of Nashville’s most prestigious producers Bill Warner (Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Jewel, Natalie Imbruglia). It was here that she was introduced to legendary country songwriter Jim Owens who has written songs for many of Country’s greats including Hank Williams, George Jones, and Loretta Lyn. Louise Egan presents a fresh, contemporary style of country music that proves entertaining for all ages and interests. She takes pride in her extensive repertoire which comprises not only original material, but unique cover versions of international country, pub rock and pop styles of music as well.
At just 23 years young, Louise has been singing for 7 years and has been trying her hand at songwriting for the past 18 months. She began performing in cover bands from the age of 17 and has since branched into the big, wide world of Australian country music, writing and performing her original compositions – many of which have audiences laughing and ‘gas-bagging’ about their content!
Louise is currently directing her career towards solo and co-written material that brings joy to the typical Australian audience, through humour and highly relatable topics. Louise often plays rhythm acoustic guitar to support her wild stage antics and absolutely loves ‘playing it up’ with a full band behind her.
As a special treat, Louise is currently touring regional areas with fellow musician and rising country star Kelly Hope.
These two vibrant, young performers are having an absolute ball bringing their concept show ‘GNO: Girls Night Out’ to venues in rural and regional NSW and are sure to be touring the show right across the country within the next 12 months.
WOW! Recently, Louise received national acclaim for her songwriting skills, as her comical take on the typical encore: The “One More” Song was named a semi-finalist in the 2010 TSA National Country Songwriting Contest.
In 2009, Louise spent several months in the studio recording her debut album, Chasing Sound, with help from some of
